In April 2009, Simon was appointed as Senior Associate of E3G (Third Generation Environmentalism)
to lead a project exploring the potential to decarbonise the European power sector. This work involves close collaboration
with key policy stakeholders at Member State and EU levels along with driving leading edge research into the energy policy
landscape.
As part of this work, Simon has:
- Produced a series of position papers on the need for electricity
market reform, and
- Prepared the policy recommendations for the major Roadmap 2050 study by the European Climate
Foundation.
